This past week I attended the Gap event at Lincoln Center hosted by the lovely Kendi Everyday. As I walked into the store and was greeted by great music and a cocktail, I looked around at the sea of colorful denim and classic design and thought, “This is so me.” I love fashion that’s accessible to women in the real world. Yes, I occasionally lust over stunning designer pieces, but you will usually find me in the classics – a button-down blouse, denim, a flattering dress… Fashion that’s accessible.
So, as my lovefest with Gap was renewed, I started scooping up pieces from their new spring line. I quickly fell in love with this cheeky button-down with coffee cups on it (or tea, whatever your beverage of choice) and this denim jacket. Yes, a denim jacket. I haven’t worn one since the 7th grade, but I quickly realized my 13-year-old fashion sense wasn’t too off. It’s classic and the easiest thing to throw on any time of year. So there you have it – coffee cups and a jean jacket. And that’s just me.
