L.L. Bean plaid flannel shirt (Relaxed fit, I’m wearing an xs. Currently 25% off!) // Madewell Kent Cardigan (I’m wearing a small. Similar version from Nordstrom for under $80) // Madewell Black Skinny Jeans (They run TTS – I’m wearing a 27) // Tory Burch Tall Boots (These are a few years old, but there is a similar Sam Edelman boot for $150!) // Everlane Day Market Tote (Similar tote for under $65!)
We’re nearly a week away from family time, turkey (or just a boat load of sides for me, since I’m a vegetarian) and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! What is your Thanksgiving style? Do you get dressed up (and then quickly switch into comfy clothes after the meal?!) or is your day more casual? Ours is fairly casual, but I typically reach for all the plaids and cozy sweaters. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites that you can mix and match for your own festive style!
I’m so glad Madewell brought back this long Kent cardigan again this year because it’s super warm and goes with everything. Last year I bought it in both black and camel (last seen in this post) and wear it all.the.time. I just got this L.L. Bean flannel a month ago and was pleasantly surprised how substantial and soft it is for the price. It’s a relaxed fit, so I would recommend sizing down. I’m wearing an xs and it’s flattering with breathing room.
I love this J.Crew Factory plaid cape scarf (under $25!!) layered over a tissue turtleneck. I have this turtleneck in black & white stripes, size small. It seems to layer perfectly under just about anything. Pairing it with corduroy denim instead of regular jeans is a warm and unexpected twist, especially with smart loafers.
Abercrombie always seems to have classic and affordable flannel shirts for the season (my personal favorite is under $25) and I love them paired with a slouchy sweater-blazer and (ahem, stretchy) slim pants.
Can’t go wrong with this outfit for the holidays!
