I was recently inspired to tackle a mini overhaul of my home office to give it a fresh update. A few years ago I created a fun gallery wall and I really liked it at the time, but recently it just felt too girly and juvenile. I was ready to create a simplified, calming work space. First, I chose a light grey shade and spent an afternoon painting. Truth be told I’ve never painted a room myself before (this is just not my area of expertise… Baking, yes. Painting, no) and with vaulted ceilings it was a bit of a challenge. But I’m proud I was able to take on my first DIY painting project.
Then I selected some neutral artwork from Minted (my favorite!) because I think muted tones are sophisticated and still make a big impact. The best part about ordering artwork from Minted is you can get your favorite pieces delivered and framed, which makes the décor process easy peasy. I loved that I could choose prints that would complement each other and frames that would all go together on one wall. Overall, I’m happy and proud with this updated space and I’m now inspired to move onto other rooms!
