2 Ways to Style a Leopard Midi Slip Skirt for Summer & Fall

If you’ve been a long-time reader of Sharing My Sole (or if we’re friends – hi!) you KNOW that autumn is my favoriteeeee season. Love it all – The weather, layers, boots, colors, food, festivities. BUT, I’m not quite ready to say farewell to the long and sunny Chicago summer days just yet. I’m always excited to find versatile wardrobe pieces that work seamlessly across seasons (the majority of my wardrobe is pretty season less these days) and quickly fell in love and tried on this midi skirt for that exact reason.

I’ve worn this skirt a few times already with my basic white sneakers (I think I’ve worn more sneakers this one summer living in Chicago than I have my entire life) and it’ll work perfectly come October with ankle booties and my leather jacket.

This is clearly Madewell’s print of the season – here in a pullover sweater and here on a cute canvas tote. I love that it’s not the typical leopard midi skirt that’s been everywhere this summer. A few quick helpful facts on this skirt…

ONE // Runs True to Size and I’m wearing a 4. It has an elastic waistband (no zipper) which lays FLAT (this is key) and looks great with a shirt half tucked in or with an over-sized sweater.

TWO // It’s machine washable. The material is viscose and it’s extremely lightweight and flows on your shape in a very flattering way. Not having to dry clean this skirt is a big PLUS.

THREE // It’s unlined. Nothing will get weird and bunched up here. Just the one layer, non-see through.
