Sure signs that autumn is on its way have started showing up this week… Cool mornings that require a sweater, darker evenings and sleeping with the windows open. I’m all about that slow seasonal transition and ready for all the denim and sweaters.
Thoughts about flare jeans for fall?! The only flares I had (and love) hanging in my closet were an old pair from Abercrombie I got four years ago for twenty bucks. I haven’t been able to find a solid competitor until this ultra high waist 70s inspired pair from Madewell.
Guys, I feel like Jackie Burkhart. I went with my usual size 27 with this pair and tried them with my Madewell mules. At first I was surprised by how TRULY high-waisted they are (suck it innnn) but ultimately found them to be flattering and a fun switch up from skinny jeans.

Transport Tote // This should go without saying since I’ve had my Madewell Transport Tote for a million years (now have two – with and without a zipper for my work bag and commute) but it really is the BEST bag that gets more and more buttery and worn throughout the years. Pretty sure it can hold the weight of three bowling balls without breaking. (Or at least that’s what it feels like when my bag is stuffed to the brim at the airport…)

Loafers // I bought these loafers in snakeskin print last year and LOVE them. Brown or white are on my wish list. They run true to size and don’t cause any blisters if you’re walking around all day.
Kent Cardigan // This long cardigan is a great layer to reach for on a cool morning. I have one in black from a couple years ago and it’s just a nice wardrobe staple. Runs true to size (maybe a smidgen oversized feel) and I have a small.
Chelsea Boots // Another great boot I got last year in brown that I wore a ton with black jeans and dresses. AND have an extra layer of cushion for all day walking.
Ribbed Pocket Tee Midi Dress // I definitely have a strong affinity for t-shirt dresses and this one in ‘kale’ is perfect for fall. I tried it on in store and it looks killer with sneakers!
