Everlane Tank Dress vs. Long Weekend Dress

Chicago summers can have quite a few false starts, but I thinkkkkk these 70-degree sunny days are here to stay! I’m all about an easy cotton dress to throw on for a weekend afternoon because let’s face it, no pants means the easiest outfits. I wanted to review a couple breezy Everlane basics to live in this season.

I’m wearing both of these dresses in a size small, but just a quick tip when shopping at Everlane – On each product page they have a ROBUST reviews section where you can sort the reviews based on your height and body type! Super helpful and something I always reference.

This is a super easy shift dress that nips in a bit at the waist, so it’s far more flattering than just a shift dress that kind of hangs. (Those really aren’t good for my figure since I am more of an hourglass). It has a square neck and thick enough straps to wear a regular bra with it and not have your straps show. I wore this with sneakers for a simple weekend look, but honestly I could throw it on with a pair of heels and dress it up for a wedding. Plus it’s machine washable! I’m 5’5 and found the mini length above the knee to be just perfect.

This dress is the more casual of the two. A lighter weight cotton dress and more relaxed fit that truly feels like a worn in t-shirt. Honestly, great quarantine attire. It has a slit down one side and front chest pocket to add a bit more interest and cute vibe to a simple cotton shift.
