Holiday Pants

And I’m not talking about turkey eating pants.  It’s that time of year when holiday get-togethers are in full force and I either a) stare into my closet and whine ‘but I have nothing to wearrrr’ or b) put on the same black dress as last year.  Mind you, I do love dresses and tights this time of year and just wore this sparkly skirt out on Friday for a holiday hotel bar crawl.  BUT, pants are totally a festive option too!  I’ve had these two pairs for a couple years now and they still work with sweaters, heels or booties!

I’ve worn these lace pants with a chambray blouse, with a sweater tucked in and pearls and with a cool t-shirt and jacket.  I decided to simply wear it with this cashmere sweater I’ve been wearing non-stop (see a few looks here) and casual mules.  I love that they are still a flattering black pant that go with pretty much anything, but it’s a nice upgrade from black jeans.

Admittedly this outfit is from last year, but you can snag the entire look at J.Crew again this year. I’ve also sported these plaid pants with a black sweater, a teal sweater and a denim shirt. And I firmly believe leopard shoes are a neutral.
