My 5 Minute Morning Make-Up Routine

It’s been awhile since I shared a skincare and make up update. Truthfully, it was a challenging year with my skin (I’m somewhere between preventing blemishes and wrinkles all at once) and am finally in a good place where I’m not breaking out so aggressively. I’ve been to my dermatologist a few times to get some stronger washes and ointments to get any hormonal acne cleared up (FUN) and really really try to avoid consuming dairy since I know it’s a trigger food. (again, FUN).

Efficiency is the name of the game on workday mornings, so I keep my morning make-up routine to under 10 minutes. I keep all my everyday products in one bag so I can quickly grab what I need, apply and head out!

I’m starting to battle winter dry skin issues and go heavy with moisturizer and light with make-up. I start with a clean face and moisturize with Cerave at the moment since it’s very gentle and non-irritating. And I spritz my face with Aglow Face Mist to help relieve any dryness and dullness.

I use Tarte Colored Clay Undereye Corrector to get rid of any dark circles or discoloration under my eyes and top with a dab of Creaseless Undereye Concealer. If I want more coverage (#weekends) I typically use my Beautycounter Skin Hydrating Foundation.

I’ll dust my face with a little powder and use an eyebrow gel – I currently have Hourglass in my makeup bag, but also like Boy Brow and Brilliant Brow Gel. Then I do a swipe of eyeshadow and am currently obsessed with the Lilah B. Palette Perfection. I don’t wear liner (time saver!) and then curl my lashes.

Now my mascara formula has been a constant for the past few years and I’m convinced it results in the longest and fullest lashes. I do one coat of Diorshow Primer, one coat of Too Faced Better Than Sex and then one coat of Maybelline Falsies Waterproof Mascara. BOOM! I swear, the best trio.

Finally, I add a touch of Nars Orgasm blush to my cheeks and a swipe of lipgloss and I’m out the door!
