My Review of Everlane’s New Perform Legging

Thank you to Everlane for partnering on this post!

After months of wishing and hoping Everlane would carry activewear, they finally launched their first legging!! Guys, they are SO GOOD and only $58!

Real quick – If you’re new here, Everlane has been a consistent favorite of mine for YEARS. They make quality, affordable and extremely versatile wardrobe staples that make getting dressed everyday so easy. They are all about transparency, ethical partners and sustainability. Their goal is to eliminate all virgin plastic from their supply chain by 2021 which is incredibly important to me. So, I love them for their beautiful clothing that I wear almost daily, but also for their company mission and environmental work.

Ok, back to the leggings. I’m wearing the ink grey color, size small in regular length. I’m just barely 5’5” and they are a great length and not too long. I assume the ankle length would be much more cropped. They are soft, supportive and comfy with just the right amount of compression. They have a high waist band that kind of sucks in your tummy without being too constricting – it sits nicely across my abdomen area. I wore them to a Pilates reformer class and they stayed put. The waist band didn’t roll down at all. And no sweat showed through the fabric.

How do they compare to my go-to Lululemon Align legging? The biggest difference is the material. The Everlane leggings are 58% recycled nylon and 42% elastane and are a little bit shiny. The Lulu leggings are made from their Nulu fabric are more buttery and matte. The rise and compression level of both is very similar. I can’t say which I prefer… Honestly love them both. And definitely like the price point of the Everlane leggings much, much more. And I really like that they don’t have any logos on the outside. Just a quality, sleek legging.

Leggings, and athleisure in general, is so versatile in terms of everyday wear. I wear them on weekends running around the city, grocery shopping, lounging at home, to lunch with friends… This is the everyday uniform for most women these days, right?? Here’s a couple ways I’ve worn these leggings so far…

Post-Workout Errands // I’ve gotten into the healthy habit of working out early mornings, both on the weekdays and weekend. I start the day energized and then it leaves the whole day to get things done or relax. Unless I take a spin class and am sweaty and immediately need to shower, my normal course of action is to go run some errands right after a yoga or Pilates class.

Re:Down Puffy Puff (wearing a small, fits oversized) // Cotton Box Cut Tee (size small, fits a little loose and boxy cut) // Perform Legging (wearing a small, regular length) // Tread Sneakers (fit true to size)

The perform leggings are perfect with the Tread sneakers – so so comfortable. Potentially the most comfortable sneaker I own? And I throw on the Re:Down coat which is the best to wear to the gym because it’s incredibly light but SO warm. And water resistant.

Weekend Brunch // A late Saturday or Sunday brunch with friends after a morning work out is one of my favorite things in any season. The perform leggings still work perfectly for brunch, especially with a long overcoat on top for that casual but slightly dressy juxtaposition.

Italian ReWool Overcoat (wearing a size 0, runs large) // ReNew Hoodie (wearing a small, runs true to size but is slightly cropped) // Perform Legging // Tread Sneakers // Day Market Tote (tons of details about this tote in this blog post)

Lounging at Home // This outfit really doesn’t need any explanation other than leggings and an oversized sweatshirt is what I’m wearing at home 99% of the time. So cozy.

100% Human Sweatshirt (on sale! wearing a small, fits oversized) // Perform Legging // Roots Socks

  1. I love the sleek, minimalist styling of everything Everlane. I, too like the lack of logos.
