We’ve been getting back into our normal routine this week now that wedding things are done and it’s been nice to just watch a movie or show together in the evening without a to-do list looming overhead. I’m back to teaching my regular classes at CorePower (come take class with me!) and happy to have some time again to devote to the blog. Question – Do you still enjoy reading my Friday Favorites? You know I love me some Madewell given that half my outfits are pieces from the brand. This sale is great if you’re looking to stock up for fall! A few of my favorite things are this sweater coat (I sized down and went with an xs – It’s still nice and roomy on me), this long cardigan (I got 2 last year and still love it) and these high-rise skinny jeans with the raw hem. (Pro tip – The raw hem allows you to cut them yourself if they are too long! I trimmed mine about an inch with sharp scissors and they still look perfect). I recently grabbed some wide-legged pants from J.Crew to get a new silhouette into my wardrobe beyond my basic skinny jeans on repeat. You can snag these high-rise trousers for under $60 during the sale. I also really love this cute pocket sweatshirt for the weekend to pair with boyfriend jeans and a baseball hat. Also love these smoking slippers in ‘roasted cider’.
Also this week, 2 things became apparent… 1) I’m still obsessed with Meghan Markle and 2) whenever she wears something, it IMMEDIATELY sells out. She was photographed wearing this lovely dark green & Other Stories blouse and naturally I went to shop it (duh, I needed it) and it was gone. Out of stock. HUMPH! So I tried to find a look-a-like and this Everlane silk blouse nearly fits the bill.
