This new little series has been in the works for a while now and I’m excited to introduce it! I get a random assortment of reader and friend questions each month ranging from outfit ideas to the best mascara. So I figured why not share the knowledge?! I’m going to a concert and am struggling with what to wear! I’d like to go with something edgy or trendy, as I usually stick with basics and neutrals. Any outfit ideas?
I would probably go with jeans, a slouchy graphic tee and a leather jacket. I also recently purchased a Levi’s denim jacket and the denim-on-denim look with edgy boots can be a cool look as well. Or even some Converse high tops which are totally back in style.
Your nails always look so nice. Do you do gel polish? What are the best nail colors for summer?
I love getting a gel mani, but it’s just too time intensive to keep up with it. So I typically paint my nails at home with the Essie Gel Couture polish set. I love Essie Hip-anema – it’s my favorite shade for the summer. And the Deborah Lippmann Sunrise/Sunset colors are amazing.
I have a few weddings this summer and am trying to find some pretty and flattering dresses that won’t break the bank. Do you have any dress suggestions for someone with a larger bust?
I always find that v-neck style dresses that cinch at the natural waist are the most flattering for a larger bust. I like this BB Dakota fit and flare and this a-line dress in navy!
Your Madewell tote is in a lot of your outfit photos. Any other bags you like or recommend?
I definitely use my Madewell Transport Tote almost every.single.day. In general, I’m not a bag snob and I typically use my bags until they die. Luckily the leather just gets better with age. I also love the Everlane Day Tote and I’ve been saving for a Rebecca Minkoff crossbody.
I’m going on a girls weekend trip coming up and was wondering if you have any ideas on what to pack? I’m looking for easy to wear outfits and comfortable shoes.
Love a good girls trip! Go with some easy t-shirt dresses and cute sneakers! I would probably back this swingy tee dress, this linen t-shirt dress and some white sneakers that go with everything. It’s always good to pack sandals too, but sometimes they aren’t as comfortable for walking around all day. And a small crossbody bag so you don’t have to lug around a bigger purse.
