Life Lately

It’s been a couple months since I posted a Life Lately update and I can’t believe we are already in August. Even though I’m still working from home, it feels like this summer is flying by. It’s been so wonderful to get out and enjoy the city in ways that weren’t possible last year. Running along the riverfront, dinners with friends, going to in-person pilates and yoga classes. The little things in daily life that make me happy.

It’s funny though, I just went to happy hour with friends this past week and we were all discussing how any social gathering post-pandemic makes us straight up exhausted. Ha. I’m so happy to see friends, get drinks, chat in person instead of Zoom, but then I’m SO TIRED and require a nap. Is this post-covid vaccinated life? Or maybe I just value sleep and decompressing time more now. Or maybe it’s age? Eek.

SHOP // It’s the last day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! A few favorites that are still in stock – Zella jogger pants, my favorite t-shirt bra (I stocked up!), this tank for running and these pajamas. Also, not a part of the sale but I recently bought this dress for an upcoming wedding and I’m obsessed.

Although I’m still here for summer, my mind is starting to wander into fall weather and outfits. I needed a new cardigan to throw on while working from home (air conditioning!) and got this chunky, vintage cardigan that I LOVE. I’ll be packing it for a trip to Montana next week to prepare for those temperature swings.

WATCH // Have you started the new Gossip Girl on HBO? It’s a bit… ridiculous? Haha. I’m watching it, but nothing will compete with the original Gossip Girl that, candidly, I only started watching in January of this year. But I just live for the nostalgic outfits of Serena and Blair. Those giant chunky necklaces and headbands. What a fashion moment.
