Small Ways to Refresh Your Home This Summer

Karen Kane Dress // Coffee Table // Bowl // Pillows

Outside of a moment in my mid-20s when I bought a bunch of chevron pillows and put up a girly gallery wall, I’ve never been overly into of-the-moment home trends. Much like my wardrobe, I lean towards classic pieces and neutral color palettes that change effortlessly with the seasons.

As we head into August (how is it already August??) I’m giving our home a little refresh by organizing some closets and updating small touches of décor!

CB2 Couch // Karen Kane Pillows // West Elm Faux Fur Pillow // West Elm Coffee Table // Moroccan Pouf

Bring in New Pillows // New pillows or even pillow covers bring so much life to our couch and living room. Plus, I love having an excess of pillows when curling up to watch a movie. I was drawn to the linen and texture of these oversized, plush pillows from Karen Kane! Both sophisticated and minimal and goes so well with our neutral palette.

Add Fresh Elements // I love bringing in fresh fruit or greenery to a centerpiece to liven up our space. I LOVE this natural wood bowl and filled it with lemons and limes, that frankly we end up using quickly for fresh water and cocktails.

Choose Candles with a Fresh Scent // You know I have back ups and back ups of my favorite candles on hand. I do enjoy a nice citrus scent in the summer!

Move Around Art // I shared our new console table a few months ago and since we just have some frames leaning on our wall, it makes it easy to move around art and reshuffle our coffee table books. It’s a nice visual refresh to switch things up.

Buy the Flowers // One of the small joys of day-to-day life is having fresh flowers in the kitchen or on the dining table. Nothing better than a vase full of friendly hydrangeas to brighten up our home!

A big thank you to Karen Kane for collaborating on this post! Thanks for supporting the brands that support this blog.
