Life Lately // How Are You?

Abercrombie Shera Half Zip Fleece (runs large, wearing a size small)

This past Friday was my birthday, then Halloween, so it was arguably one of the more fun weekends I’ve had in a while. It was low key, but still so lovely to see a few friends in our 2020 bubble. We’ve hit November, which is crazy because October felt like simultaneously the fastest and slowest month ever. Fast because I adore the start of fall and enjoying the changing season, but slow because my anxiety as we’ve inched closer and closer to Election Day has been excruciating. I know election anxiety has plagued many of my friends as I hope and pray for a better future for our country, but it’s manifested in some insomnia and doomsday scrolling on my phone. I know, I know. Poor habits that I’m working to replace with meditation.

So, how are YOU doing during this time? During 8 months into social distancing? I hope you’re able to find some moments of happiness and calm as we head towards what I HOPE is a positive future for our country and world. And if you’re not doing ok, please know I’m sorry and I understand. Many of us are in the same boat. Don’t forget to VOTE this week! Sending you all strength and good vibes as we head into Tuesday.

READ // Last week I finished Untamed by Glennon Doyle and I’d say it was a 7/10 for me. I liked it, love her writing, but I wasn’t OBSESSED with it like many reviews I read. Now I just started Night Swim and so far it’s a page turner!

SHOP // I got this Abercrombie Sherpa fleece when it was on sale a few weeks ago and I would HIGHLY recommend! Runs oversized and the small is long enough to cover my tush if I’m wearing it with leggings.

I also got this Madewell bubble sleeve cardigan top (size small!) and it looks so cute and flattering tucked into jeans.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know my 2020 obsession for making lattes at home and getting the perfect froth. We got a Nespresso machine and frother recently and it is making more mornings even better. The frother is amazing because it warms the milk while it froths. Just a dash of cinnamon and pumpkin spice and it’s a cup of homemade coffee heaven.

I just started doing some light Christmas shopping too and intend on pulling together a couple thoughtful holiday gift guides. A couple favorite stocking stuffers are these eye masks and these Barefoot Dreams socks that are perfect while working from home.

WATCH // To combat the heavy election anxiety, we’ve been watching Gilmore Girls and Dawson’s Creek, classics I’ve actually never seen! Just some nice, light shows to enjoy in the evenings to wind down.
