It’s a bit mind boggling that we are at the end of week 8 of shelter in place and working from home. I must be quite settled into our new day-to-day routine because I feel like April went by fast! I’ve been enjoying more walks outside, trying new recipes and afternoon weekend naps. Although I think we are a ways away from returning to “normal”, there are a few things I hope stick once the country starts opening up… At home lattes, self-manicures, video calls with friends and family, more conscious spending and giving back. How about you?
Here’s what I’ve been up to lately to keep busy…
ONE // Peloton – I’ve posted about our Peloton a few times on Instagram and have received endless questions asking if it’s worth it. Quick answer – Yes. 100%. No regrets. I still miss group fitness, but having this bike is amazing to get in cardio, gain strength and get those endorphins flowing! Even if I hop on for 20 minutes first thing in the morning it immediately gives me a boost of energy and the motivation to start my day. If you would like a $100 off referral code, use Z3H6W3
TWO // At Home Manicures – I’m getting oddly good at and addicted to my self-manicures. My nails are stronger than ever due to my collagen lattes and collagen smoothies and I’ve got a whole set up ritual. I soak my nails in some sudsy water, push back my cuticles, file down and then carefully paint. My favorite splurge polish is Deborah Lippman which lasts a solid week. Runner up is essie Gel Couture.
THREE // Jenga – A classic game that is still a delight, even with two people. Ha!
FOUR // Baking Banana Bread – I think I’m up to six loaves of banana bread throughout quarantine. So much baking that I now have the recipe memorized. I think I’m going to switch it up this week and try this one out to make it slightly more fancy. There’s tons of recipe inspiration on my Pinterest boards!
FIVE // Watching Normal People & Little Fires Everywhere – Two shows that were books turned into quality shows! What have you been binge watching lately??

I keep hearing good things about Little Fires Everywhere. Did you read the book first?
I have so far binged this season of Summer House, Tiger King, The Dublin Murders, Broadchurch. The best quality of the four shows was Dublin Murders tied with season 1 of Broadchurch.
I did read the book and loved it!
Love me some Summer House. I actually haven’t been interested in watching Tiger King, so I’ve avoided that. I’ll have to give Dublin Murders a try! I just started watching The Wire from the beginning and it’s quite good.
