Madewell Black Friday Sale

It’s the day before Thanksgiving and the cyber week sales are here! I’m working on a Black Friday round-up post, but Madewell launched it’s holiday sale yesterday – 25% off your purchase with code DEALWITHIT. (woot woot!)  Since I do wear a ton of Madewell on a daily basis (guilty as charged) I wanted to share a few of my favorite pieces with helpful sizing and fit information for ya!

Monsieur Coat (Runs large, menswear style. I’m wearing an xs) // Inland Sweater in Coziest Yarn (wearing a small) High Rise Black Skinny Jeans (Run TTS. I’m wearing a 27) // Transport Tote

First, I got this monsieur coat last year and wear it all the time. So happy they brought it back! It has a menswear style fit and is oversized – I sized down to xs. I also love this sweater, perfect for winter and I got a small.

I also wear the high rise skinny black jeans with everything. Pro trick – Put your jeans in the freezer to kill bacteria rather than washing them every other wear, which helps preserve the color.  I know this sounds crazy, but you can place your jeans in a plastic bag and freeze them overnight to help kill germs.  I only wash my jeans about every 5-7 wears or so and always wash them inside out.

The biggest thing I would recommend getting during Black Friday sales is the Transport Tote, since it rarely goes on sale.  It’s been my bag staple for YEARS and this is the time to snag it. You can even get it embossed with your initials to make it even more special!

Spencer Sweater Coat (runs large, I’m wearing an xs) // Whisper Cotton V-neck T-shirt (wearing a small) // Perfect Leather Belt (wearing a medium) // Skinny Jeans (wearing a 27) // The Harper Mule // Transport Tote

I love this sweater coat. It runs quite large, definitely a blend of a sweater/blazer/coat and you can layer it over anything.  The brown shade is already sold out, but the grey is on sale and then an additional 25% off.

If you love the whisper cotton v-neck tees like me, this is a great time to stock up or replace some older ones.  Also, I wear this belt constantly and it’s a nice way to look pulled together when you’re just wearing jeans and a plain tee.

Kent Cardigan (wearing a small) // Flannel Shirt (wearing a small) // Button Front Denim (Run TTS)

Frances Loafer // Transport Tote

This is another look from last year, but you can replicate this look with everything on sale now! I have this long Kent cardigan in both timber and black because it’s perfect to layer over just about anything in the winter. A plaid shirt, a tank top. It just works.

This flannel is from last year, but there is a similar selection of flannel button-down shirts available now. They tend to run true to size and I went with a small. And loafers! I just got the Frances Loafers stamped snake because I basically live in loafers at the office.  I also want them in velvet!

A few other Madewell favorites…

Bobble V-Neck Sweater // I LOVE the look of this sweater. Whimsical and flattering without screaming holiday.

Regan Boot // I wore an incredibly similar boot from Madewell in yesterday’s outfit post. I love Madewell shoes and the quality is always amazing. They last for years if you take care of them.

Loafer Scuff Slipper // My UGG slippers have seen better days. Love this pink pair for home!

Corduroy Mini Skirt // I don’t have anything corduroy at the moment, but I can imagine this with a slimming turtleneck and boots.

Wrap Front Jumpsuit // New Year’s Eve outfit idea with fun earrings?!

Leather Pouch Clutch in Navy // A great gift idea if you get it monogrammed. I have a few pouches in my tote and it’s nice to keep lip glosses and things organized.
