This past week was another heavy, heavy time for our country. I felt physically ill and completely shattered by the shooting in Uvalde, but even more enraged by our politicians and lack of legislative change. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE?! I did everything I could in my power and capacity to use my voice by calling my state representatives, donating to Everytown and sending emails to any company working with the NRA. There has to be change. Get loud with your elected officials.

In the midst of all the craziness, I tried to find any moments of joy. And some of that joy included shopping. So, here are some random favorites from the past month that might bring you some happiness as well.

Atomic Habits by James Clear // I love a good self-help book and this one is tops. Small changes to transform your habits backed by data. It was a quick read, super interesting and has tips for how to implement in your own life.

Alex Mill Shorts Jumpsuit // Alex Mill is a brand that I love (see one of my favorite sweaters in this post) because they have really high quality pieces that last. I got a long sleeve jumpsuit last year that’s both comfortable and flattering, so I decided to order the shorts jumpsuit for summer. It is SO.CUTE! I went with a size small and it works with both sandals and sneakers. Makes putting together a summer outfit a breeze!

Madewell Espadrille Sandal // I’m still loving my Birks, but these sandals feel just a touch more polished and are a nice neutral to go with everything.

Be There in Five Podcast // I’ve listened to the voice of Kate Kennedy for years, but she’s been on a roll lately! My favorite thing to listen to when I’m getting ready in the morning or on a long walk.

Outdoor Voices Exercise Skort // I read so many positive reviews about this cute skort and it lives up to the hype! Very flattering, comfortable and a bit more feminine than swishy shorts.

I Love That For You // Don’t sleep on this Hulu comedy about the home shopping network. Offers some giggles and levity during these tough times.
