Beautycounter Skin Tint // Brow Pencil // Diorshow 3D Lash Primer
Glossier Brow Boy // Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
The back half of this past year I started my transition towards cleaner beauty products. I shared my skin issues and clean beauty swaps in November in hopes to help others who might be dealing with break-outs in their 20s and 30s. #blessed.
Today I’m rounding up my top beauty buys over this past year and why I love them. Whether you’re testing out clean beauty yourself or just looking for a new, great mascara, here are my top buys of 2018…
Beautycounter Eye Makeup Remover // $25
The biggest impact in clearing up my skin was throwing out my Neutrogena face wipes and swapping in a natural make-up remover. This remover gently takes off my eye make-up before I wash my face at night.
Aesop B & Tea Balancing Toner // $35
When we moved to Chicago my skin went through a period where it was completely dry and flaky. No amount of moisture or face oil would help, until I found this toner. I use it before I moisturize and it balances my face and kind of preps my skin to allow the moisturizer to absorb.
Beautycounter Rejuvenating Eye Cream // $60
I love this undereye cream for reducing puffiness in the morning and helping treat fine lines. Plus, a little goes a longgg way, so I dab a bit on an then roll with my jade roller.
Jade Roller // $15
Technically I got my roller in 2017, but I love it. I keep it in the freezer and roll my face, especially under my eyes, to help depuff. It’s also nice to roll after I moisturize to help soak it in.
Beautycounter Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation // $42
I rarely wore foundation before finding this product because it felt heavy and I worried it clogged my pores. The lightweight formula goes on smoothly and provides nice coverage without really feeling like I have anything on my face. (‘Sand’ is my shade).
Beautycounter Brow Pencil // $24
I use the medium shade pencil and it just enhances my natural brow to make them look fuller. Good brows are like a push-up bra for the face. I know microblading is still the trend, but I prefer a more natural look with this pencil.
Glossier Boy Brow // $16
In addition to my brow pencil, I LOVE this brow gel. It makes my brows look fuller and holds them in place all day.
Diorshow 3D Triple Volume Lash Primer // $29.50
My mother-in-law got me this lash primer for Christmas and it’s like the beauty gem I never knew I needed. I layer on one coat after curling my lashes, wait about 30 seconds and then follow-up with one coat of my regular mascara. It makes my lashes look sooo long and flirty and amazing.
R+Co Acid Wash // $32
The water pressure in our Chicago home isn’t the greatest and my hair was starting to feel heavy even after I washed it. I added this cleansing rinse to my weekly routine and it makes my hair feel light and fresh and removes product build up. Plus, it’s color safe!
OI Hair Oil // $44
This has absolutely saved my hair from major winter static. I dub a small pump in my palm and then run through my hair while it’s damp. When I dry it, it’s smooth and static free!
Microblading is tempting but SO much could go wrong.
