The weather has been beautiful in Chicago after months of teasing moments of sunshine. Without a doubt, it’s my favorite time in the city with endless options of places to take a solo walk, bike, run, or just sit and enjoy the sun. I wanted to share a few of my favorite parks and spots in the city that I frequent and always come armed with Benadryl® Allergy UltraTab® Tablets and Aveeno® Positively Mineral Sensitive Skin Sunscreen in my bag.

I love walking around the city and heading toward green space to escape the urban hustle and bustle. Even right now it’s nice to go on a socially distant walk to enjoy the outdoors. Here’s a few of my favorite spots!

Washington Square Park // I frequent Washington Square Park most often with Potsie in tow, since it’s right around the corner from me in the Gold Coast. I love the colorful tulips in the spring, the giant fountain in the middle, the relaxing park benches, and you can occasionally find a talented piano player sharing tunes in the middle of the green space. I always come prepared with Aveeno® Positively Mineral® Sunscreen to protect my skin from the sun, and I love that’s it’s fragrance-free for my sensitive skin.

Green City Market // Last summer, I took a rented bike over to the farmer’s market a few times, and I just adore walking and grabbing some fresh flowers and vegetables. They often have open air music as well! Again, I keep Benadryl® tucked away in my bag for effective relief from any seasonal allergy flare ups. I know it’ll work quickly when I need it most!

The Zoo // I’m so thankful to have such a wonderful and free zoo close by, right downtown in Lincoln Park. I love popping in to see the animals and lush vegetation.

Lakeshore Path // My most frequented path last summer for when I wanted to go on a long run or solo walk while listening to a podcast. We are so lucky to have quick access to beautiful Lake Michigan right from the city. And now it’s open again, if you stay socially distanced! It’s also a great spot to just lay, and get a bit of color on your shoulders, if you need some Vitamin D.

Humboldt Park // Guys, remember the famous Humboldt Park alligator from last summer?? Crazy! Well he’s gone, but I still enjoy Humboldt Park for its rose beds, tennis courts and bike paths. Or just sit on a park bench and read a good book.
