We had a beautiful weekend in Chicago, promptly followed by snow. That’s March for ya. Even if we’re in the midst of a fools spring, this is the time of year I start dreaming about a lighter spring and summer wardrobe.
Even though I’m still largely spending the bulk of my time at home, I want to get a few new things for spring. Time to pack the sweats away. I truly haven’t bought that many new clothes over the past year and am itching for a refresh!
ONE // AGOLDE Denim Shorts – Here’s your annual reminder about the very BEST and highly flattering jean shorts out there! Last year I published a super comprehensive post about these shorts answering all your questions and it continues to be one of the most trafficked posts on my blog. I have these shorts in two colors (‘rock steady’ is slightly darker and ‘swampmeet’ is the lighter wash). I was contemplating snagging them in white this year because that are THAT GOOD.
TWO // Madewell Tangerine Sweater – I wore this adorable sweater when I went to visit my mom in Florida and it’s the perfect weight for spring. Such a happy sweater to wear with the above-mentioned shorts or white jeans. I have it in a size small and it’s slightly cropped.
THREE // Everlane Trench Coat – I love a classic trench coat. Makes any simple outfit, like jeans and t-shirt, look sharp. I may upgrade my old trench to this chic Everlane one this year.
FOUR // Sam Edelman Black Mules – I wear my old, black J.Crew loafers with everything and have been eyeing this pair. So easy to slip on and look completely pulled together, especially when you’re just working from home. A classic house shoe!
FIVE // Alex Mill Striped Sweater – This nautical striped sweater is speaking to me. With the buttons down the back?! Dreamy.
SIX // Abercrombie Mini Dress – Abercrombie can be so hit or miss with sizing for me, but this adorable dress is a YES. I ordered a small and it’s adorable with sneakers. It’s short (don’t dramatically bend over), but is actually quite flattering if you are a bit chesty, like me.
SEVEN // Madewell Perfect Vintage Jeans – These have been on my spring denim wish list for a while. The perfect wash, high waist and mom jean style.
