Big City, Small Spaces

Ghost Bar Stools c/o poly&bark // Minted Artwork // Potsie, not for sale

Whoa, how is it already the 28th of December?! The week before Christmas flew by and we were back in Ohio for the holidays spending it with family.  But, we’re now home in Chicago and getting ready for the new year!

This year was FULL of big changes, one of them obviously being our move to Chicago.  We looked at 7 apartments on one Saturday and decided on a cute, renovated unit in the Gold Coast. I truly love the area, but moving into a small apartment was a little tough for me since Zak and I were looking at houses in Columbus before we found out about the job relocation.  I was mentally ready for some more space, but we wanted to rent in a great area and get adjusted to the city before making a big home commitment and purchase.

Living in a small space means being thoughtful, organized and clean with our furniture, closets and especially, kitchen.  We have a teeny kitchen and a little counter nook where we sit for breakfast or camp out with our laptops.  So, when shopping around for barstools, I didn’t want anything that would take up too much space or look clunky.  That’s why these poly&bark ghost stools are PERFECT!  They are streamlined and CLEAR!  Honestly, they are ideal for our small space since they make a modern statement without feeling like another bulky piece of furniture.  We had ghost chairs for our wedding ceremony and reception (a full post on that soon, promise!) and I was mildly obsessed. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find the same thing in a barstool!  Next on my poly&bark wish list, this leather sectional.  How dreamy.
