Fall Bucket List // Chicago & Beyond!

Everlane City Anorak // ReNew Hoodie // Day Market Tote

The best season in the Midwest is here and there are so many things I’d like to enjoy, accomplish and take advantage of in the city this fall! It’s no secret that autumn has always been my favorite season and I’m pumped for fall foliage, Halloween décor and Octoberfest brews. (and quite frankly, I’m excited to not be sweating every morning when I walk to the train. Hello 60 degree temps!)

Chicago Gourmet – September 28th & 29th // Guys, I’m so excited for this. I’ll be there all weekend for work, but honestly, I’ve been looking forward to experiencing Chicago Gourmet for a while. It looks like some tickets are already sold out for Saturday, but if you’re into the food and wine scene, you should look into the details and schedule for Sunday!

Night of 1,000 Jack-O-Lanterns – October 16-20 and 23-27 // This may be my dream fall event. I loved carving extravagant pumpkins with my Dad every year growing up before trick-or-treat night. Artists spend up to 15 hours intricately carving a single pumpkin!

Maggie Daley Park Fall Fest – October 19th // Family focused fall activities all day near Millennium Park!

Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up – October 2019 // This fun pumpkin patch and corn maze is returning to Goose Island this year! I want to check it out and enjoy a pumpkin beer and hay ride with friends.

Lincoln Park Zoo Fall Fest – Opens September 27th // The zoo grounds will be covered in pumpkins, corn stalks and professional carvers! Runs Friday – Sunday every weekend in October.

And here are my favorite fall activities, no matter where you live!

ONE // Tailgate at a football game

TWO // Go on a fall foliage walk

THREE // Try a new chili or soup recipe (+ some cornbread!)

FOUR // Watch Hocus Pocus (always)

FIVE // Carve a pumpkin and toast the seeds
