Well friends, we’re 47 days into social distancing with 31 more days to go. Although there are still emotional ups and downs, we’ve really settled into our routine at home. I wanted to share a few things that I use every single day while working from home that have kept me happy, organized and sane.
ONE // Mini Frother – I plan to publish a full post with my morning collagen latte recipe, but this $15 frother brings me a small joy every morning when I can start my work day by creating a fancy barista beverage!
TWO // Office Desk Pad Mouse Mat – Real talk: My laptop and makeshift ‘office’ is set up at our kitchen island. Luckily we have a large island, but I try not to completely take over since it’s also where most of our food prep happens. This desk pad helps me delineate my working space and is a nice giant mousepad as well.
THREE // Wireless Mouse – Not a very sexy item, but not having to use my laptop touchpad mouse is a godsend.
FOUR // Airpods – Although the Apple noise cancelling airpods are silly expensive in my opinion, I have to say they are EVERYTHING when you’re sharing a home working space with your spouse. These are used all day everyday when I’m on a call or if Zak is on a call in the other room and I just need to listen to soft music in order to hear myself think.
FIVE // Acrylic Desk Organizer (+ matching stapler and tape dispenser!) – My pens and notebooks and post-its would be all over the place without this cute container to keep things well organized.
SIX // Blue Light Glasses – I’d say I’ve been staring at my computer more hours during the day and at night since working from home (because, what else is there to do?) and these glasses has really prevented me from straining.
Also, since we’ve hit May 1st and I could use a new monthly goal, I’m going to challenge myself to move and sweat every day. Either hoping on the Peloton or going for a walk or doing a 20-minute yoga stretch. I’ve been a bit lethargic lately (perhaps the change in seasons and a lot of rain??) and I need a new push. More on Instagram, but I hope you’ll join me for 31 days of movement!
These are great ideas! Thanks! I’m way ahead of you on moving every day. Keeps me sane.
