& Other Stories Romper (similar here and here) // Nike Cortez Sneakers
It kind of blows my mind that it’s the last day of July. Many of the days of 2020 have been long and monotonous, yet at the same time it’s crazy we’re already more than half way through this bonkers year. I’m looking back and wondering what I’ve done and accomplished with the majority of my time spent at home… (I’m an Enneagram 3, so accomplishing things are part of my driving force and motivation.) I’ve worked a ton, became obsessed with our Peloton, baked 10 loaves of banana bread, organized every drawer, watched entirely too much TV, read a few books, started practicing my German, stared at my phone, did some puzzles. Both feels like a lot, and a little.
Here’s what I’ve been up to over the last couple weeks…
EAT // I got food allergy testing done a few weeks ago and have a dairy intolerance. I honestly figured as much, but it’s the extra kick in the butt I needed to cut dairy out of my diet. So I’ve been eating more and more 100% plant-based products. (Did you know I work for a plant-based food company? I’m obsessed. We have a robust recipe library if you need some inspo in your own kitchen!)
SHOP // I’ve still been living in my favorite jean shorts, t-shirts and sneakers, most days. (and my Birks!) No new groundbreaking outfits while working from home, BUT my eyebrows are on point! I just got this pencil and this brow gel since my brows have gotten a bit more au natural since March.
Early Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for cardholders starts August 4th – August 18th, depending on your ‘status’ level. Will you be shopping the sale this year? I know it’s an odd year to be shopping for boots and a full fall wardrobe, but I think I’ll do a round up post on staple wardrobe pieces, athleisure, sneakers and skincare favorites.
READ // I finished White Fragility and am about 25% through American Dirt, which is SO good. Have you read it? It’s quite the page turner.
WATCH // Have you watched Down to Earth with Zac Efron on Netflix? I really love the message and information sharing mission of the series. He’s so charming and it’s really making me think about how my small, daily choices impact the larger environment. I’m hooked!
