Nordstrom Anniversary Sale // My Thoughts & Dates to Know

First – Early Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts this week! Yay!! Second – It’s been a bit of a weird year for shopping and buying a full fall wardrobe feels… unnecessary. Hmmm.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has always been one of my favorite big sale events for obvious reasons, but it’s also been tainted by the influx of influencers pushing the sale non-stop, buying things in bulk and then returning and having all the good stuff sell out in a day. It’s a sale I enjoy shopping, but I also just dread the constant Instagram posts of “buy this, buy this!” during that first week. I won’t be that girl.

Will I be shopping the sale this year? Yes, most likely. For good, staple pieces. There are things I buy and stock up on every year during this sale including new running shoes, underwear, bras and sports bras and beauty favorites because they are SUCH a good deal. As a new feature this year, Nordstrom launched the Anniversary Sale 2020 Preview, so you can browse everything that will be included in the sale and add it to your Wish List. I really like this, because it can help me plan out what I’d potentially like to buy with the pressure to immediately ‘add to cart’ the day of.

The date you can start shopping depends on your ‘level’ if you’re a Nordstrom Cardholder. For me, I’m a Nordstrom Card ‘Insider’ (i.e. just a regular cardholder who doesn’t spend thousands at Nordstrom each year…) so my first shopping day is August 13th. See the nifty calendar below to figure out which day you can start shopping.

So this year, I’ll be rounding up a sale post on things I will actually need/wear/use right now while still spending the majority of my time at home. Some great athleisure, leggings, sneakers, candles and pajamas. Let me know if you have any requests for my Nordy Sale round-up post! I’d love to hear from you.

What candies do you purchase. I love volcano from Capri Blue. The reds are the best.
