Chicago has reached the peak of summer and I’ve forgiven the city for the endless drag of winter. It’s time to take it outside! Guys, I LOVE walking home from work and seeing so many people sitting outside and having drinks and dinner with friends. It’s the best vibe.
I wanted to start a running list of my favorite patios and update it based on your recos! Leave your favorite spots in the comments below and I will be sure to update it now and then each summer to come.
Blue Door Kitchen & Garden // Sitting on this sweet patio drinking an iced tea and enjoying some crab cakes feels like you are in the south. The giant umbrellas and enclosed patio are a serene escape from the city.
City Winery // Is there anything better than grabbing a drink along the Riverwalk? I’ve never eaten here, but love (loveeeee) grabbing a cocktail and watching the boats!
Beatnik on the River // The bohemian décor, great drinks and awesome river views make this spot a must on your summer bucket list. There is often a wait, so be sure to make a reservation or get there early!
Somerset // You can’t beat the plants and vegetation for this pretty outside patio. Perfect brunch spot or wander upstairs to the top of the Viceroy to enjoy a cocktail by the pool at Devereaux.
Cabra // I have yet to eat here but popped up for a drink and to see the vibe and it is perfection. Rooftop patio on the top of the Hoxton and rooftop pool you can dip your toes in!
