Life Lately // Social Distancing Activities 2.0

West Elm Coffee Table // Coffee Table Book // Candle // Mug

Well friends, we’re over a month into social distancing life. How are you holding up? I still have ups and downs, some days lacking motivation to just take a shower in the morning. oof. BUT still trying to stay productive within our home. Here’s what I’ve been up to lately to add small pleasures to the everyday…

ONE // Perfecting My Morning Latte – Brewing my morning coffee has become a key reason to get out of bed lately. (anyone??) I’ve been sharing on Instagram, but I’ve been whipping up Vital Proteins Collagen, Oatly and cinnamon into a frothy foam with this frother and then add my brewed medium roast. Yummm. I’ve also tried adding nutmeg and some dark cocoa powder for a true at-home barista experience!

TWO // Puzzles – I think puzzle sales must be up 150% over last year. I just finished this puzzle from Jiggy Puzzles which was a fun mental distraction over the weekend.

THREE // At Home Work Outs – I pulled together all the free at home work out classes and apps I’ve been using over the last month and thank goodness for those resources. Whenever I’m antsy or having trouble concentrating on work, I’ll do a quick 20-minute core workout or stretch session with the Peloton app. (Free for 90 days!) Also, happy to report I’ve kept up with my running schedule. New shoes always help my motivation.

FOUR // Organizing – Oh you know, just continuing to organize every closet, drawer and corner of our apartment. My favorite purchase has been stacking shoe storage from The Container Store, a layered jewelry box, this spice drawer organizer and baskets. Endless baskets. Also, this sock and underwear drawer organizer is on my list.

FIVE // Reading – I’m half way through Nine Perfect Strangers and love it. If you’re looking for a page turning fiction book, I loved Where the Crawdads Sing and Little Fires Everywhere (now on Hulu!) Also recently read I Will Teach You To Be Rich and did a full blog post with my thoughts.

SIX // Retail Therapy – Completely understand and appreciate that some people aren’t shopping right now. I’ve been pulling back on discretionary spending as well, but here are a few items I’ve purchased for some retail therapy. These cute and incredibly soft sweatpants, under $50 and this Sherpa sweatshirt for only $30! In addition to all my face masks, I also ordered some new hair oil.
