Two Ways to Wear a White Denim Skirt

Hope you had a lovely holiday weekend! I returned late Thursday from Mexico City and we took it easy and stayed in Chicago for Easter. The city felt mildly empty! Yesterday’s weather was beautiful and now I’m in a full force search for all the spring skirts and dresses. The minute it rises above 65, all the neighborhood sundresses and rompers emerge. I swear that was the brunch uniform this weekend and I am on board.

My winter legs, albeit still a little pale, are ready to see the sun. Last year I was thrilled about the jean skirt resurgence… The 2007 version of Jaclyn was ecstatic. This white denim skirt is a chic upgrade and works for both the weekend and office, if you have a slightly more casual work vibe. My favorite part about this skirt? The slightly a-line shape that is very flattering on my hips, especially when wearing with flat loafers or sneaks.

I talked about my obsession with the Everlane silk blouse in this post and this olive shade is a welcome addition to my closet. (It’s also available in short sleeve!)

For look deux, I’d say this my summer weekend outfit of choice. Plain t-shirt with this white skirt. I’m honestly thrilled that cute sneakers are in right now so I can wear my sundresses and skirts with little white sneakers all spring and summer long.

And guys, this crossbody bag is freaking perfection. It’s the perfect size for my wallet, phone, keys and (too many) lipglosses and the strap is actually comfortable. I love that it’s structured and has a magnetic closure so you don’t have to fuss with zippers and snaps. I just brought it with me to Mexico and it was ideal for zipping around on Lime scooters.

Everlane Cotton V-Neck Tee (wearing a small) // Everlane Denim Skirt // Levi’s Denim Jacket // Everlane Form Mini Bag c/o // Vans Checker Slip On Sneakers (run large, I’m wearing a half size down)
